Borussia Dortmund have announced that their young forward, Jadon Sancho, has passed successfully his medical and is set to join Manchester United for a fee of £78 million.
The move comes as a shock to many, with many predicting that the German international would stay at Dortmund and continue to develop under his countryman, Jurgen Klopp.
However, it seems that Dortmund were not willing to let go of their prized asset and decided to cash in on him by selling him to one of the top clubs in Europe.
Sancho has been a key player for Dortmund since he joined the club from England in 2019, scoring 46 goals and providing 35 assists in just 73 appearances for them.
His departure will be a huge loss for Dortmund, but they can look forward to a successful future with Sancho playing alongside the likes of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford.
Overall, this is a great deal for both parties involved, with Dortmund getting a high-calibre player and Manchester United getting a talented youngster who could become a star in the making.
